Iona University seeks a general carpenter responsible for maintaining:
- All campus buildings interior and exterior structures and components
- Interior and exterior minor construction projects
- Small cabinet making and furniture construction and repairs
The scheduled hours for this position are 7:30 am - 4:00.
Duties and Responsibilities - Assist in all areas of the trades department as needed
- Flooring, ceilings, walls, light carpentry, light electrical.
- Maintain windows on campus
- Keep all flags on campus in good repair
- Assist with painting when required
- masonry experience
- Respond to requests from the Supervisor to assist in other departments as needed
- Respond to request for snow removal
- Any other duties as requested
Required Experience - Ceiling, wall and floor tile installation
- Proficient painter
