Job Title: Senior Accountant

Location: Oak Ridge, TN

Company Overview: INVO PEO is a professional employer organization (PEO) that provides HR solutions to small and mid-sized businesses across the United States. We specialize in payroll processing, tax administration, employee benefits, and risk management. We are currently seeking a Staff Accountant I to join our team in Oak Ridge, TN.

Job Summary: The Senior Accountant will be responsible for performing accounting duties related to general ledger and financial reporting. The successful candidate will work a regular schedule in our Oak Ridge, TN office full-time Monday through Friday.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and other general ledger activities.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and documentation to support general ledger account balances.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Perform month-end and year-end close activities.
• Assist the accounting manager in preparing documents and interpreting complicated financial information.
•  Support other accounting team members as needed.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field is required.
• Minimum of 2+ years accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Detail-oriented, demonstrating organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to prioritize and perform assigned tasks within deadlines.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
• Team player who will also work independently.
• Proficiency in Sage Intacct is desired.
• Proficiency in using Microsoft Office is required.
