Job Title: Business Tax Advisor

Job Summary

We are Seeking experienced Business Tax Advisor with public accounting experience specializing in corporate, partnership, and entity taxation. Proven expertise in reviewing and signing federal and state tax returns, managing end-to-end tax compliance, and providing strategic tax planning for closely held businesses. Skilled in business owner compensation, retirement and distribution planning, estimated tax payments, K-1 coordination, and exit and succession planning. Active CPA (or JD) with strong knowledge of federal and state tax regulations and a commitment to delivering high-quality client service.

Key Responsibilities

1. Review and sign Federal and State tax returns for Corporations and Partnerships.
2. Manage end-to-end tax compliance, including estimated tax payments, extensions, and K-1 coordination.
3. Provide tax planning for corporate, partnership, and pass-through entities.
4. Advise clients on business owner compensation, distributions, and retirement tax planning.
5. Support exit and succession planning, business sales, and ownership transitions.
6. Ensure compliance with federal and state tax regulations.
7. Mentor tax staff and manage multiple client engagements.
8. Build strong client relationships and deliver strategic tax advisory services.

Required Qualifications:

1. Minimum 7 years of public accounting experience with extensive expertise in corporate, partnership, and entity taxation.
2. Minimum 7 years of experience reviewing and signing federal and state tax returns for corporations and partnerships.
3. Strong experience managing the full tax compliance process, including estimated tax payments, extensions, and K-1 coordination.
4. Expertise in business owner compensation, distribution planning, and retirement plan tax planning.
5. Knowledge of exit and succession planning, including business sales, ownership transitions, and generational transfers.
6. Active CPA or JD license required.
7. Master’s degree in taxation (MST) preferred.
