Job Summary: ICS Corporation is seeking a strategic and results-driven Director of Sourcing amp; Procurement to lead the organization's procurement strategy, supplier partnerships, and supply chain initiatives. This individual is responsible for developing sourcing strategies, optimizing vendor performance, reducing costs, mitigating supply chain risk, and ensuring the timely procurement of materials, equipment, and services that support our manufacturing operations.
Responsibilities:
Job Summary: ICS Corporation is seeking a strategic and results-driven Director of Sourcing amp; Procurement to lead the organization's procurement strategy, supplier partnerships, and supply chain initiatives. This individual is responsible for developing sourcing strategies, optimizing vendor performance, reducing costs, mitigating supply chain risk, and ensuring the timely procurement of materials, equipment, and services that support our manufacturing operations.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute the company's strategic sourcing and procurement strategy in alignment with organizational goals and long-term business objectives.
- Lead purchasing activities for raw materials, production supplies, equipment, packaging, indirect spend, and capital expenditures.
- Conduct enterprise-wide spend analyses to identify cost-saving opportunities and develop a strategic sourcing roadmap focused on supplier optimization, risk mitigation, and process improvements.
- Lead end-to-end strategic sourcing initiatives, including Requests for Information (RFIs), Requests for Proposal (RFPs), Requests for Quotation (RFQs), supplier evaluations, and competitive bidding processes.
- Analyze market conditions, supplier capabilities, commodity trends, and industry developments to identify sourcing opportunities and mitigate supply chain risks.
- Develop business cases and executive recommendations to support vendor selection, contract awards, and sourcing decisions.
- Negotiate supplier agreements, pricing, service level agreements (SLAs), rebates, and commercial terms to achieve the lowest total cost of ownership while maintaining quality and service standards.
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with suppliers while identifying and qualifying new vendors that support the company's operational and growth objectives.
- Establish and lead Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) programs, including supplier scorecards, performance evaluations, quarterly business reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Develop and monitor key procurement performance indicators (KPIs), including cost savings, supplier performance, contract compliance, inventory optimization, and procurement cycle times.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations Management, Finance, or a related field required.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in procurement, sourcing, and supplier management.
- Proven experience leading procurement transformation, process improvement, or strategic sourcing initiatives.
- Strong knowledge of supply chain management, inventory planning, strategic sourcing, and purchasing best practices.
- Demonstrated experience managing procurement budgets, capital expenditures, and large-scale purchasing projects.
- Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and relationship-management skills.
- Extensive experience in supplier sourcing, contract negotiation, vendor management, and procurement compliance.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience within a manufacturing environment is required.
- Working knowledge of quality standards, contract administration, and basic contract law is preferred.
