Job description

The Control Panel Builder assembles and wires electrical control panels from start to finish. This position requires the ability to read electrical drawings and wiring schematics, organize parts, lay out panel components, and complete multiple projects according to production schedules.

Responsibilities
  • Assemble and wire electrical control panels.
  • Read and follow electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and production instructions.
  • Verify parts using the bill of materials (BOM).
  • Lay out and install components inside panel enclosures.
  • Identify and correct wiring or assembly problems.
  • Use hand and power tools safely.
  • Assist with light fabrication when needed.
  • Track production time and enter it into the company database.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Assist other team members as needed.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Technical training, an associate degree, or relevant work experience preferred.
  • Experience with electrical wiring or control panel assembly preferred.
  • Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and changing priorities.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand for up to eight hours.
  • Ability to lift at least 25 pounds.
  • Ability to use hand and power tools.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and climb when inspecting equipment.
  • Willingness to work overtime when required.
