REQUIREMENTS:

TUTORS:
Huntington Learning Center is hiring in-person, part-time tutors who have expertise and experience tutoring in different areas:
MATH TUTORS:
Huntington Learning Center is looking for tutors with the ability to teach math topics ranging from lower level math, Pre-Algebra, Algebra, Geometry, Algebra 2/Trigonometry, Pre-Calculus (including AP), through AP Calculus A/B, as well as SAT and ACT-level math.

SCIENCE TUTORS:
Huntington Learning Center is also looking for tutors with the ability and experience teaching such science topics as chemistry, physics, and biology at both non-AP and AP-levels.

READING/WRITING TUTORS:
The center is also looking for tutors with the ability and experience teaching reading comprehension, grammar, and writing skills of all levels. Other subject areas such as social sciences and humanities are welcome.


REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE:
  • 4-YEAR  DEGREE IS REQUIRED: A bachelor's degree is the minimum degree-level requirement. Candidates without a 4-year degree should not apply.
  • This is an IN-PERSON position: A candidate must be able to work in person. Candidates in remote locations should not apply.
  • Certification/License a plus, but not required.
  • Experience levels can vary - current and retired teachers are encouraged. Professionals with expertise in other subject areas are welcome to apply.
  • Must be a caring and qualified professional committed to the success of students.

THE OPPORTUNITY:
  • Bring your skills and expertise to help students develop.
  • Flexible, part-time hours - afternoon, evening, weekend, and summer. We are open every day.
  • Work with students in a 1-to-1 setting, with the potential to work with 1-3 students as needed.
  • There are no lesson plans to write or curriculum to develop.
  • No parent-teacher conferences.
  • Actual hourly rate will based on experience, capabilities, and availability.
