Job description

Hummingbird Aero is looking for a detail-oriented Project and Operations Coordinator to join our engineering team. This position will work closely with project managers and the general manager. The ideal candidate will demonstrate proficiency in MS Project, MS Excel, and MS Word to efficiently manage and maintain project schedules. This is a remote position.


Responsibilities include:

·         Maintain and update MS Project schedules for engineering development projects

·         Facilitate DTC (Design To Cost) efforts to help ensure the product being designed meets production cost targets

·         Help maintain bills of material, used for estimating cost, as the design evolves.

·         Assist with supporting configuration management processes by keeping engineering change orders flowing through approval processes in a timely manner.

·         Deploy and train a proprietary AI language model to generate high-quality business deliverables.  Evaluate model outputs and adjust training parameters to improve system performance.

·         The candidate will collaborate with engineering staff and other departments to maintain organized records and support project delivery.

·         Strong attention to detail and organizational skills are essential for success in this position.

Qualifications:

  • BA in Business Management or BS in Engineering is required.
  • 1-3 years experience maintaining project schedules in an engineering setting
  • Proficiency in MS Project, MS Excel, and MS Word
  • Ability to manage and update bills of material
  • Knowledge of configuration management principles is helpful
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Strong organizational and record-keeping abilities
  • Must be a U.S. person
