The opportunity Delaware North's Patina Group is hiring a full-time Catering Server to join our team at Hudson Yards in New York, New York. What will you do? * Sets up tables for function in accordance with banquet event order * Accurately transports food and beverages to guests in a timely manner * Performs necessary tasks to service guests including: taking and filling drink orders, providing refills, answering questions, and clearing of dirty dishes * Serves alcoholic beverages responsibly, requests identification, adheres to all unit and company alcohol service policies and procedures. * Monitors guest needs on a continual basis ensuring all requests are promptly fulfilled; handles any guest complaints * Replenishes food on buffet lines (if applicable) * Maintains a safe and clean environment for guests and fellow team members * Breaks down event according to company procedures More about you * Must be 18 or older * Minimum of 3 months' previous experience in food and beverage service preferred * Excellent guest service skills * Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment * Strong communication skills, including listening skills and ability to take food and beverage orders and fill those orders correctly * No high school diploma or GED required Physical requirements * Ability to stand or walk, including up and down stairs, for entire length of shift * Ability to lift up to 35 pounds * Mobility to maneuver between tables Who we are Hudson Yards represents the future of urban design, an innovative neighborhood that blends architecture, culture, and commerce.
