Job description

AI builds specialized AI voice employees for service businesses: HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and painting companies, call centers and collections agencies, and private practices. Our AI employees answer calls, book jobs, follow up on estimates, and take payments. Each one is trained on the customer's business and integrated with the systems they already run, and they're in production today handling thousands of calls a month. We spent decades building AI for defense and intelligence, where reliability isn't optional, and we bring that same standard to service businesses. AI Employees, not software.

The Role

You'll be our first dedicated salesperson. Today the founders sell every deal, and the motion works: referral partners feed the pipeline, and a live demo with one of our AI employees does most of the closing. Your job is to own that engine full time. You'll recruit new referral partners, keep current partners producing, generate new pipeline through them and your own network, and close every deal you source from first conversation to signed order form. You'll also build the playbook our next salespeople will run. This is a founding seat with clear revenue targets over your first 18 months.

What You'll Do

  • Own the full sales cycle: source, qualify, demo, propose, negotiate, close
  • Run live demos where prospects talk to an AI employee on a real phone call
  • Recruit new referral partners: business coaches, industry consultants, technology brokers, and trade associations
  • Keep existing partners producing through regular contact, shared wins, and reliable referral payouts
  • Generate new leads through outside partners and your own network
  • Qualify against our three gates: real pain at the front desk, a business large enough to feel it, and an owner who believes AI can do the job
  • Maintain a clean HubSpot pipeline and come prepared to the weekly review
  • Represent MyMethod in person at networking groups, trade events, and partner sessions
  • Hand new customers to onboarding and stay engaged through go-live
  • Bring field feedback to the product team

    What We're Looking For

  • 5+ years selling to mid-sized business owners, franchise groups, PE portfolio companies, ideally in or around home services, trades, or field services
  • A track record of closing five-figure annual contracts in relationship-driven sales cycles
  • Experience building and working referral or channel networks
  • A plain, direct communication style that works with owner-operators
  • Disciplined AI assisted CRM habits
  • Able to demo AI credibly without being an engineer
  • Self-directed: you'll own your number

    Bonus Points

  • You've sold into HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or other trades
  • An existing network of service business owners, coaches, or trade associations
  • You've sold software or tech-enabled services to non-technical buyers
  • Early-stage startup experience
  • Familiarity with ServiceTitan, Housecall Pro, or similar field service platform
