Work Environment

Our team operates within a dynamic community health clinic setting, providing flexibility to work remotely while maintaining strong connections with colleagues and clients. The typical working hours are Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 4 PM, with some flexibility in scheduling to accommodate patient needs. This structure allows for a balanced approach to work-life integration, ensuring our therapists can deliver exceptional care.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough clinical assessments using evidence-based practices to craft personalized treatment plans for clients.
• Utilize therapeutic interventions such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and other modalities tailored to individual client needs.
• Maintain meticulous clinical records in compliance with HIPAA and other regulatory standards, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary treatment team, including psychiatrists and psychologists, to deliver cohesive and integrated mental health care.
• Participate in regular case consultations and peer review meetings to enhance the quality of care and foster professional development.
• Educate clients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment approaches, and available community resources to empower informed decision-making.
• Stay abreast of the latest research and clinical advancements in the mental health arena to ensure the adoption of best practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our team serves a diverse clientele, ranging from children and adolescents to adults facing various mental health challenges. This role involves working with individuals navigating complex emotional landscapes, including those experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues. A commitment to culturally competent care is essential in addressing the unique needs of our patient population.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• A valid and active license to practice as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in New York State.
• Demonstrated ability to apply solution-focused psychotherapy techniques to develop effective treatment approaches tailored to individual clients.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, fostering collaboration with clients and colleagues alike.
• Exemplary problem-solving abilities, critical thinking skills, and adaptability to meet diverse patient needs.

Preferred Experience

• Experience with mental health counseling in a community health setting or similar clinical environment.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems for documentation and scheduling.
• Prior experience with multidisciplinary teams is encouraged to enhance collaborative practice.

Compensation and Benefits
