Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the daily operations of the dealership accounting office.

  • Ensure accurate and timely posting of new and used vehicle deals.
  • Oversee funding, Contracts in Transit (CIT), deal postings, contract cancellations, and unwind transactions.
  • Review deal jackets for completeness, compliance, and accounting accuracy.
  • Manage customer and lender payoffs, refunds, warranty cancellations, GAP cancellations, service contract cancellations, and ancillary product cancellations.
  • Reconcile bank accounts, floorplan accounts, manufacturer receivables, and accounting schedules.
  • Monitor and resolve aged receivable and payable schedules.
  • Prepare journal entries and assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
  • Assist in preparing financial statements and maintaining compliance with dealership accounting standards.
  • Ensure compliance with manufacturer policies, state regulations, and dealership procedures.
  • Work closely with dealership leadership to improve office efficiency and accounting processes.
  • Serve as a resource for Sales, Finance, and Service departments regarding dealership accounting procedures.
  • Perform additional accounting, administrative, and operational duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications
  • Minimum 3-5 years of recent automotive dealership office management or dealership accounting management experience is required.
  • Automotive dealership experience is mandatory. Candidates without dealership experience will not be considered.

  • Experience using CDK is strongly preferred. Experience with other dealership management systems such as Reynolds & Reynolds or Dealertrack is also valuable.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to prioritize multiple deadlines.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with employees at all levels of the dealership.

What We Offer
  • Competitive compensation based on experience.
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance.
  • 401(k).
