Homefront Home Care is seeking compassionate and dedicated Home Health Aides (HHA) to provide essential support to individuals who require personal care and assistance in their own homes. As an HHA, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for your clients by providing personalized care, promoting independence, and ensuring their safety and well-being. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a direct positive impact on the lives of others and contribute to their overall happiness and comfort.
Responsibilities
1) Personal Care: Assist clients with daily activities such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting, while respecting their dignity, privacy, and personal preferences.
2) Medication Reminders: Remind your client to take his/her medication at the appropriate time.
3) Mobility Assistance: Provide physical assistance and support to clients with mobility challenges, including transferring, walking, and using mobility aids such as walkers or wheelchairs.
4) Companionship: Engage clients in meaningful conversations, activities, and hobbies to promote socialization, mental stimulation, and emotional well-being.
5) Meal Preparation: Plan and prepare nutritious meals based on dietary restrictions, preferences, and client requirements, ensuring a balanced and healthy diet.
6) Light Housekeeping: Assist with light housekeeping tasks such as tidying up living spaces, laundry, and maintaining a clean and safe environment for clients.
7) Transportation: Accompany clients to medical appointments, social outings, grocery shopping, and other activities as needed, ensuring their safety and comfort during transportation.
8) Communication: Maintain open and effective communication with office staff to provide updates on the client's condition, progress, and any concerns as well as any scheduling issues or emergencies.
9) Record-Keeping & Electronic Visit Verification: Document and maintain accurate records of client care, including daily activities, assigned tasks, any client request and any significant observations or changes in the client’s condition.
10) Safety and Emergency Preparedness: Recognize and respond to emergency situations promptly, following established protocols to ensure the safety and well-being of clients.
11) Respect and Professionalism: Demonstrate empathy, patience, and professionalism in all interactions with clients, their families, office staff and other healthcare professionals. Show up to scheduled shifts on time and with a positive attitude.

- Must hold a current and in good standing Home Health Aide (HHA) license in Indiana.
- Previous experience as a Home Health Aide in a related healthcare field is preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and basic healthcare procedures is a plus.
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
