Job Title: Underground Utility Laborer – Sewer, Water & Storm

Job description:

We are looking for dependable Underground Utility Laborers to join our construction crews. Work includes sewer, water, storm sewer, excavation, trenching, pipe installation, backfilling, and general underground utility construction.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with sewer, water, and storm sewer installation
• Perform trenching and excavation work
• Assist pipe layers and equipment operators
• Handle pipe, fittings, tools, and construction materials
• Assist with bedding, backfilling, grading, and site cleanup
• Work safely around excavators, loaders, trucks, and other heavy equipment
• Follow directions from foremen and supervisors
• Maintain a clean and safe job site

Qualifications:

• Construction or underground utility experience preferred
• Experience with sewer, water, storm sewer, or excavation is a plus
• Must be dependable and willing to work outdoors in changing weather
• Must be able to perform physically demanding work
• Ability to work as part of a crew
• Willing to train the right person
• Valid Driver's License; must be able to get to the job site by your own transportation.

Pay: $23.00–$35.00 per hour, depending on experience

Schedule: Full-time, 5 days per week, 8 hours per day. Overtime available as needed.

Location: We work where the job is located. From Indianola, IA, up to a 3-hour radius if needed. Currently, all our jobs are within an hour of Indianola, IA.
