Hours – Full Time: M-F 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.

Summary:
Manually move freight, stock, or other materials or perform other general labor. Includes all manual laborers not elsewhere classified.
Essential Duties:
- Move freight, stock, or other materials to and from storage or production areas, loading docks, delivery vehicles, ships, or containers, by hand or using trucks, tractors, or other equipment.
- Sort freight and materials before loading and unloading.
- Attach identifying tags to freight and materials or mark them with identifying information.
- Read work orders or receive oral instructions to determine work assignments or material or equipment needs.
- Stack freight and materials in locations such as warehouse or in containers as directed.
- Record numbers of units handled or moved, using daily production sheets or work tickets.
- Install protective devices, such as bracing, padding, or strapping, to prevent shifting or damage to items being transported.
- Position receptacles, such as bins, carts, or containers so they can be loaded.
- Maintain equipment storage areas to ensure that inventory is protected.
- Assist with receiving activities; loading, unloading, repackaging, sorting and moving products and materials manually and using materials handling equipment.
- Route receiving paperwork to the appropriate department(s).
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience
- At least one year of production experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Proficiency in English is not a requirement of the position.
