Associate Dentist Position โ€“ Mentorship | Partnership Potential

Location:

Status: Full-Time | 4โ€“5 days per week

Compensation: $220,000 - $350,000+

Daily Guarantee: $850

Highlights: Mentorship | Clinical Autonomy | Partnership Opportunities

Why Youโ€™ll Enjoy Being Part of Our Team

Our organization has been a trusted private practice in the Corpus Christi area for over 40 years. Under the leadership of Dr. Jason Packard and Dr. Boss, we adhere to a straightforward yet impactful philosophy: prioritize patient care above all else. Thereโ€™s no pressure or corporate influence hereโ€”just genuine, conservative dentistry grounded in integrity and long-lasting trust. We value quality work and sound judgment over sheer volume.

You will become part of a fully staffed, skilled team that takes pride in delivering exceptional care. Our assistants, hygienists, and administrative staff are highly capable, independent, and aligned with our core values. Our systems are well-organized, patient flow is steady, and most new patients come through referrals. This creates a predictable and efficient schedule, allowing you to concentrate on patient care without chaos or micromanagement.

Mentorship is a key aspect of our practice. Dr. Packard is actively involved when necessary and steps back when not essential. He is committed to fostering the growth of the right associate, particularly in areas such as treatment planning, case decision-making, and skill enhancement over time. The mentorship approach reflects his own training: collaborative case discussions, constructive feedback, and a balance of autonomy with support. Our practice is also at the forefront of technology, utilizing CBCT, scanners, CAD/CAM, 3D printing, lasers, and AI-assisted clinical notes to enhance efficiency and quality.

This is a stable and profitable practice with overhead below 50%, free from debt-related pressures, and a clear long-term vision. The associate will inherit an established patient base and play a significant role in a planned partnership transition as Dr. Boss gradually steps back. For the right candidate, there is a genuine opportunity to evolve into a deeper, long-term role without rushed commitments or artificial timelines. This position is ideal for a dentist who values ethical, conservative care, takes pride in doing things correctly, and seeks to build lasting trust with patients. It is not suitable for those who prefer aggressive treatment strategies, high-pressure environments, or practices focused on selling dental services.

Living in Corpus Christi offers a unique coastal lifestyle that is rare in many parts of Texas. The area provides easy access to the beach, warm weather year-round, and a variety of outdoor activities such as fishing, boating, and water sports. The cost of living is significantly lower than in most major metropolitan areas, making home ownership and financial independence much more achievable. Commutes are short, traffic is minimal, and life moves at a more relaxed pace. This is a perfect environment for someone who desires space to breathe, time outside of work, and a community-focused lifestyle without sacrificing professional opportunities.

Our Core Values
  • Integrity โ€“ We believe that dentistry should never be a sales pitch. Patients are informed about their options, including the pros and cons, enabling them to make educated decisions without pressure. Trust is built over time, and we safeguard it diligently.

  • Commitment to Quality โ€“ Quality is our top priority. We emphasize doing dentistry correctly the first time, with careful planning, sound judgment, and meticulous attention to detail. Rushed work and shortcuts are not part of our practice.

  • Ownership & Initiative โ€“ Our team members take full responsibility for their work, patients, and outcomes. Associates are granted autonomy and are expected to manage their schedules and cases with pride. This is a practice for self-motivated professionals, not those who require micromanagement.

  • Respectful Team Dynamics โ€“ We function as a cohesive team, where assistants, hygienists, and doctors collaborate respectfully. Ego, power struggles, and drama are not tolerated. Clear communication and mutual respect are essential.

  • Calm and Professional Leadership โ€“ We value thoughtful decision-making over reactive responses. Challenges are approached with composure and logic, not emotion. A steady presence helps maintain our culture, support the team, and enhance the patient experience.

Your Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality restorative dentistry.

  • Manage an established patient base and oversee cases from diagnosis to completion.

  • Clearly communicate treatment options in a conservative manner, avoiding overselling or pressure.

  • Collaborate closely with a skilled, supportive clinical team in a well-organized practice.

  • Advance clinically through mentorship and expanded procedures as desired.

Compensation & Benefits
  • 34% of adjusted production

  • Daily guarantee of $850 for the first 6 months

  • 401(k): Safe Harbor

  • Dental Care

  • Malpractice coverage

  • Partnership Opportunity

What Makes This Position Unique
  • Immediate Patient Base โ€“ You will inherit an established patient base rather than starting from scratch. Your schedule will be meaningful and clinically engaging from day one, allowing you to focus on dentistry rather than self-promotion.

  • True Clinical Autonomy โ€“ You will have the freedom to practice within your competencies without constant oversight. There are no restrictions on the procedures you can perform. Growth is encouraged, not limited.

  • Respectful Mentorship โ€“ Support is available without micromanagement. Case discussions are collaborative and thoughtful, not driven by ego. You will receive guidance without being controlled.

  • Ethical and Stable Practice โ€“ With no overselling, no corporate pressure, and overhead below 50%, this practice operates from a position of strength. Decisions are made thoughtfully, ensuring real stability.

  • Long-Term Career Path โ€“ This role is designed for someone seeking more than a temporary position. The practice is navigating a planned partnership transition with care. For the right individual, there is a promising future here.

Who Weโ€™re Seeking

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Clinically skilled and confident in core restorative dentistry.

  • Ethical, conservative, and patient-focused in treatment planning.

  • Calm, steady, and professional under pressure.

  • Comfortable with autonomy and ownership of their work.

  • Respectful, team-oriented, and free from ego or drama.
