Position: Level 3 Maintenance Technician

Location: New Castle, DE

Pay: $28/hour

Experience: 10 to 20 years of experience.

Education: High School diploma or technical school preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Type: Full-time; Direct Hire

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:00am to 3:30p (Flexibility to work on call rotation nights & weekends)

HireOne Staffing is seeking a Level 3 Maintenance Technician to join a growing and dynamic team! 

Job Description:

1. Conduct daily inspections of common areas, hallways, parking lots, and building exteriors to identify safety hazards or maintenance needs.
2. Perform basic repairs such as replacing light bulbs, resetting circuit breakers, and unclogging drains.
3. Assist in changing HVAC filters and monitoring system performance.
4. Repair or replace door locks, handles, and hinges as needed.
5. Assist with painting, drywall repairs, and other minor carpentry tasks.
6. Maintain cleanliness of the maintenance shop, tools, and equipment.
7. Follow safety protocols, including proper use of PPE and handling hazardous materials.
8. Respond promptly to work orders, providing updates on status and completion.
9. Support higher-level technicians during complex repairs or installations.
10. Document completed work and report any recurring issues or safety concerns to the supervisor.

Position Requirements:   

1. Strong experience in all trades with emphasis on carpentry.
2. Must be able to lead, train, and work independently
3. Carpentry and plumbing skills needed.
4. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities across departments.
5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
6. High level of professionalism, discretion, and customer service orientation.
7. Ability to work independently while supporting a collaborative team environment.
8. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
9. Ability to learn and work within property management and work order software systems.
10. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for occasional property site visits.
