GENERAL OVERVIEW:
Provides specialized clinical nutrition assessment. Provides guidance and support to dietitian team to include dietetic interns where applicable. Serves as lead for nutrition initiatives.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Performs individualized patient assessments and reassessments for most complex and/or high risk patients.

Develops, documents, and monitors the nutritional plan of care for the population served according to individualized assessment and professional standards.

Performs documentation and completes reports according to procedures and established practice and guidelines.

Provides education and/or educational programs for patients and staff.
-
Develops, implements and presents a minimum of one educational project annually.
-
Develops and leads a minimum of one nutrition initiative annually.
-
Serves as a preceptor for dietetic interns, students, medical residents and new associates.
-
Develops, implements, and monitors tools necessary to maintain and improve nutrition care provided to patients, staff and community.Serves on a minimum of one hospital committee or council.

Other duties as assigned or requested.
