ABOUT THE COMPANY
Automotive Service Greeter/Porter
High Desert Ford is seeking a friendly, professional Service Greeter/Porter to support the daily operations of our service department. This position is responsible for greeting customers, moving and parking customer vehicles, maintaining an orderly service drive and parking area, and helping ensure smooth traffic flow throughout the facility.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Greet customers entering the service area with a friendly, upbeat, and professional attitude.
• Answer customer questions and direct customers to the appropriate person or location.
• Determine whether arriving customers have an appointment.
• Record the customer’s name, vehicle identification number, license plate number, mileage, and existing vehicle damage.
• Control service traffic flow and assist with parking and loaner vehicles as needed.
• Safely move vehicles between the service lane, service stalls, and parking areas.
• Retrieve customer vehicles for pickup and provide courteous service during the vehicle-return process.
• Install disposable seat covers, steering-wheel covers, floor mats, and identification tags in vehicles received for service.
• Deliver keys and repair orders to the appropriate Service Advisor immediately after parking a vehicle.
• Make key tags for vehicles.
• Keep the service drive clean, orderly, and free of trash, water, leaves, and dirt.
• Report vehicle or property damage immediately.
• Maintain a professional appearance.
• Follow all company safety policies and immediately report accidents to a manager or supervisor.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Requirements:
• Ability to perform the essential duties of the position satisfactorily.
• Ability to drive a manual-transmission vehicle.
• Valid driver’s license and an acceptable motor vehicle record.
• Authorization to work in the United States.
• Ability to perform all responsibilities safely and professionally.
• Ability to complete applicable pre-employment screening requirements.
