Heyward St Preschool, located in downtown Columbia, is seeking an experienced assistant director. Responsibilities include daily operation of preschool to include interacting with families, children, and staff, facilitation of accurate files and data, and marketing of HSP on social media platforms. • Daily operation of preschool facility in partnership with director.
• Substitute in classroom as needed.
• Communicate professionally and knowledgeably with staff, families, and students.
• Develop communication for social media.
• Maintain clear, organized files for students and staff.
• Coordinate enrichment events such as fall festival, art day, or friendsgiving
• Host tours for prospective families.

• Must have experience in SCDSS licensed childcare center.
• Experience in an ABC Quality childcare center, preferred.
• Pediatric CPR and First Aid certificate
• Completion of ECD 101 or CDA, preferred.
• Career Ladder with SC Endeavors

• Experience as an assistant director.
• ECD 101, 102 or two year degree in Child Development
• Four year college degree
• Experience with marketing, communication, or branding.
