  • Reconciling Records: Reconcile meal counts, attendance, and enrollment records for accuracy. Conduct a 5-day reconciliation to compare records and identify potential over-claims, initiating corrective actions when necessary.
  • Maintaining Sanitary Conditions: Ensure sites adhere to state and local sanitation standards in food preparation and service areas. Verify the proper bleach solution mixtures, availability of testing supplies, and documentation of health inspections.
  1. Onsite Reviews and Training
  • Conducting On-Site Visits: Review each site at least three times per year, with two unannounced visits. One visit must occur within the first six weeks of operation.
  • Observing Meal Service: Conduct reviews during meal service, observing various meal times throughout the year.
  • Assessing and Correcting Issues: Check if previously identified issues have been resolved and provide training to staff to address ongoing or new problems.
  • Providing Training and Technical Assistance: Help staff and participants understand their program responsibilities, offering training and technical assistance as needed.
  1. Threat Response and Reporting
  • Responding to Threats: Address any imminent health and safety threats to children or adults in care promptly.
  • Notifying Authorities: Notify relevant licensing, health, or law enforcement authorities immediately if a threat is found.
  • Documenting Actions: Ensure that all review and corrective actions are properly documented and kept on file for potential administrative review.

Other Responsibilities:

  1. Supervise meal service and ensure compliance with food safety regulations.
  2. Assist in setting up and breaking down meal service areas.
  3. Keep track of meal counts and assist with documentation.
  4. Monitor the childrens behavior and ensure a safe environment.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand for long periods.
