From disabled tractor-trailers and commercial vehicles to complex recoveries, our operators use specialized equipment, technical skill, and good judgment to safely get the job done.If you have heavy-duty towing and recovery experience-or you're an experienced CDL driver looking to build a career in the towing and recovery industry-we want to hear from you.WHAT YOU'LL DOOperate heavy-duty tow and recovery equipment safely and professionallyRespond to commercial vehicle breakdowns, accidents, and recovery situationsPerform heavy-duty towing and roadside assistanceSafely recover disabled, damaged, or overturned vehiclesOperate heavy wreckers, rotators, underlifts, winches, and related recovery equipmentPerform vehicle hookups and secure vehicles for transportAssist with accident and recovery scenesPerform basic roadside mechanical troubleshooting when appropriateComplete pre-trip and post-trip inspectionsMaintain accurate service and recovery documentationCommunicate professionally with customers, dispatchers, law enforcement, and other respondersMaintain and inspect towing and recovery equipmentFollow all company safety procedures and applicable DOT regulationsWork as part of a team on complex recovery operationsMaintain a professional appearance and attitude while representing HendricksonWHAT WE'RE LOOKING FORRequired:Valid CDL Class A Clean and acceptable driving recordPrevious commercial driving experienceAbility to safely operate heavy-duty vehiclesStrong commitment to safetyAbility to work independently and make sound decisions in challenging situationsExcellent customer service and communication skillsAbility to work outdoors in varying weather conditionsAbility to work nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as requiredReliable attendance and dependable work ethicPreferred:Heavy-duty towing or recovery experienceExperience operating a heavy wreckerExperience with rotatorsExperience with underlift systemsExperience with air brakes and commercial vehiclesDiesel or heavy-duty mechanical experiencePrevious experience working with law enforcement or accident recoveryTHIS IS NOT A TYPICAL DRIVING JOB.Heavy-duty recovery requires more than simply driving a truck.Our operators need to understand equipment, weight distribution, rigging, winching, vehicle positioning, safety, traffic conditions, and recovery techniques.Every call can be different.
