Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations of patients' mental health status, employing tools such as the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-5) to guide individualized treatment planning.
  • Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities to provide effective outpatient mental health counseling to patients, continuously monitoring their progress and adjusting treatment strategies as needed.
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with regulatory guidelines, using current technology to ensure compliance and uphold the highest standards of patient care.
  • Collaborate with patients and their families to develop personalized treatment plans that align with their specific needs, goals, and cultural backgrounds.
  • Actively engage in team-based care, participating in case discussions and peer collaborations to enhance the treatment experience and outcomes for patients.
  • Coordinate with referral agencies and other healthcare providers to ensure seamless transitions in care and appropriate access to necessary resources.
  • Provide mentorship and education to interns, students, and volunteers to foster a learning environment and support the next generation of mental health professionals.
  • Participate in internal clinical review processes alongside supervisors to evaluate and improve service delivery within the team.
Patient Population / Client Focus

The patients you will work with at Help and Hope Behavioral Health include individuals from various demographics facing mental health challenges, including but not limited to anxiety, depression, trauma, and life transitions. Our commitment to cultural competence ensures that care approaches are respectful and sensitive to the diverse backgrounds and individual needs of each patient.

Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field is required.
  • A current license to practice as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in New York State is mandatory.
  • At least three years of clinical experience in a mental health setting, demonstrating competence in providing care to diverse populations.
  • Exceptional communication skills, alongside the ability to build rapport with patients from various backgrounds.
  • A thorough understanding of the cultural and developmental factors that can influence mental health and care strategies.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience in integrating evidence-based practices into therapy and showing measurable patient outcomes.
  • Skill in participating in interdisciplinary teams to evaluate and enhance treatment efficacy.
  • Prior experience in clinical supervision or mentorship roles is a plus.
Compensation and Benefits
