Position Overview

Heartland Wellness Center is seeking a compassionate and experienced Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to join our dedicated team. As a full-time therapist, you will work remotely from the comfort of your home, providing vital mental health services to a diverse client population. This role is essential in helping individuals navigate complex mood disorders, fostering their emotional well-being, and providing them with the tools they need for recovery.

About the Organization

Heartland Wellness Center is a community-focused health clinic located in Scottsdale, Arizona, recognized for its commitment to delivering comprehensive mental health services. Our mission is to positively influence the lives of those we serve, including individuals and families facing various mental health challenges. We pride ourselves on creating a supportive and collaborative environment where therapists and staff work together to implement effective treatment strategies tailored to each client's unique needs.

Work Environment

Our remote work setting allows therapists the flexibility to manage their schedules while maintaining consistency in their therapeutic engagement. You will be part of a dynamic and collaborative team that values professional growth, continuous learning, and peer support. Regular video consultations, team meetings, and case discussions foster a close-knit work culture despite the physical distance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess clients' mood disorder symptoms, determining their intensity, frequency, and impact on daily functioning.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans alongside clients, integrating their personal goals, preferences, and evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
  • Provide ongoing education and support to clients and their families regarding mood disorders, available treatment options, and self-care techniques, ensuring they feel empowered in their healing journey.
  • Monitor client progress consistently, adjusting treatment plans as necessary, and utilizing data-driven insights to inform therapeutic interventions.
  • Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure an integrated approach to client care.
  • Stay updated with the latest research and advances in mood disorder treatments to enhance therapeutic strategies effectively.
  • Maintain diligent and confidential records in compliance with all legal and ethical standards.
  • Engage actively in professional development opportunities, including case consultations, supervision, and trainings.
  • Advocate for clients' mental health needs, working to reduce stigma around mood disorders and ensure they have access to necessary resources.
Patient Population / Client Focus

As a therapist at Heartland Wellness Center, you will primarily support clients experiencing a range of mood disorders, including but not limited to depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety. Your expertise will offer critical support to vulnerable populations, such as homeless individuals, refugees, survivors of domestic violence, and those navigating life transitions.

Qualifications
  • Current and valid state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
  • A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field.
  • Exemplary communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish a trusting therapeutic relationship with clients.
  • Empathetic and nonjudgmental attitude in understanding and responding to client experiences and challenges.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills to balance a diverse caseload effectively.
Preferred Experience
  • At least one year of clinical experience working directly with clients suffering from mood disorders.
  • Familiarity with various therapeutic techniques and modalities, particularly those effective for treating mood disorders.
  • Experience in community health settings or non-profit environments is an advantage, providing insight into the unique needs of diverse populations.
Compensation and Benefits
  • Competitive salary ranging from $70,000 to $90,000 annually, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
  • Comprehensive benefits package including paid time off, a retirement plan, and health insurance coverage.
  • Access to ongoing education and professional development opportunities, especially focused on addiction counseling.
  • A supportive work atmosphere that promotes continuous feedback and guidance to help you thrive as a clinician.
  • Take pride in making meaningful contributions to your clients’ journeys toward recovery and wellness.
