Work Environment

This role is designed for a full-time Mental Health Counselor working remotely; however, you will also have the opportunity to collaborate on-site as needed. Our outpatient office is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities and resources. You will engage regularly with a team comprising medical professionals, social workers, and support staff, all working together to provide the highest level of care. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and screenings to identify patients' mental health needs, developing tailored treatment plans that facilitate their journey towards wellness.
  • Deliver short-term individual counseling and crisis intervention services, employing evidence-based practices to address a wide range of psychological issues affecting patients.
  • Facilitate engaging therapy groups and workshops that focus on relevant topics, including stress management, coping strategies, and personal development.
  • Collaborate with various hospital departments, ensuring seamless coordination of care between medical teams, support services, and community organizations.
  • Participate in outreach initiatives and preventive campaigns aimed at increasing mental health awareness within the community.
  • Maintain meticulous and confidential patient records in accordance with ethical and legal standards, ensuring compliance with all regulatory guidelines.
Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, you will focus on a varied patient demographic, including individuals facing anxiety, depression, PTSD, and other mental health conditions commonly experienced by those within a hospital environment. You will be instrumental in helping patients navigate their mental health challenges, providing them with the tools and support necessary for recovery and growth.

Qualifications
  • Must possess an active state license as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Psychologist.
  • A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field is required.
  • Understanding of the unique challenges faced by hospital patients, with an ability to create empathetic and effective therapeutic relationships.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to foster collaboration with patients and multidisciplinary staff.
  • Knowledge of contemporary evidence-based practices and brief therapy models that can be applied effectively in an outpatient counseling environment.
  • Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic work setting while managing a diverse caseload and prioritizing effectively.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience working in a clinical setting, particularly within a hospital or outpatient environment, is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record systems and documentation processes is beneficial.
  • Prior experience facilitating group therapy sessions or workshops is a plus.
Compensation and Benefits
  • The annual salary for this position ranges from $115,000 to $130,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
