Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist at Healing Thoughts Counseling, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Building positive, trusting relationships with clients to foster an open and supportive environment.
• Diagnosing and treating a variety of mental health disorders, including anxiety, depression, and relationship difficulties.
• Developing tailored treatment plans based on the unique needs and circumstances of each client.
• Conducting regular counseling sessions with individuals, couples, and families to provide support and therapeutic intervention.
• Assessing client progress continuously and adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure effective outcomes.
• Providing referrals to specialists when additional support is required, ensuring clients receive comprehensive care.
• Participating in team meetings and case consultations to share insights and strategies for improved patient outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will be serving a diverse range of clients, including individuals and families facing various life challenges. Your expertise will primarily focus on helping clients overcome mental health disorders and relationship issues, enabling them to lead healthier, more fulfilling lives. You will frequently engage with clients dealing with addiction and co-occurring disorders, requiring a nuanced understanding of their unique situations.

Qualifications

To be considered for the Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist position, candidates must meet the following requirements:

• Possess a valid LMFT license.
• Hold a Master’s or Doctoral degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.
• Demonstrate a solid understanding of evidence-based practices for treating substance abuse and co-occurring disorders.
• Exhibit strong communication and teamwork abilities to collaborate effectively with colleagues and clients alike.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, candidates with the following experience and skills will be given preference:

• Specialized training or prior experience in addiction counseling.

Compensation and Benefits
