About the Role:

The Resident Care Assistant plays a vital role in providing compassionate and personalized care to residents within healthcare and social assistance settings. Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Ability to pass background checks and health screenings.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience working in a long-term care or assisted living facility.
• CPR and First Aid certification.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Strong communication skills tailored to diverse resident populations.
• Additional training in dementia or Alzheimer’s care.

Responsibilities:

• Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support.
• Monitor and document residents’ physical and emotional conditions, reporting any concerns to nursing staff promptly.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to residents, encouraging social interaction and engagement.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable living environment for residents by following established protocols.
• Support meal preparation and feeding assistance as needed, ensuring dietary requirements are met.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to implement individualized care plans effectively.
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including infection control procedures.
