Role Description The Entry Level Business Entrepreneurship Associate is a full-time, on-site role based in Charlotte, NC. In this position, the associate supports the planning and execution of field event sales campaigns for nonprofit clients, including coordinating event logistics, assisting with outreach, and engaging supporters during events. Day-to-day responsibilities include learning and applying sales techniques, tracking basic performance metrics, providing high-quality customer service, and collaborating with the event team to meet fundraising goals. The associate will also contribute to brainstorming new event strategies, participate in training sessions, and support administrative tasks related to event preparation and follow-up.

Qualifications

  • Interest in business, entrepreneurship, and event-based sales, with a strong desire to learn and grow in a client-facing environment.
  • Ability to build rapport with diverse stakeholders, including nonprofit staff, donors, and event attendees, while maintaining professional and respectful communication.
  • Strong organizational skills, including time management, attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced, on-site event setting.
  • Comfort working in an on-site, team-oriented environment, with a proactive attitude and willingness to take initiative on event and fundraising activities.
  • Basic proficiency with common office and communication tools (e.g., email, spreadsheets, presentation software); experience with CRM or event management tools is a plus.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; coursework or degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field is beneficial but not mandatory.
  • Flexible schedule to work some evenings or weekends as needed for events, and the ability to stand and move around for extended periods during event days.
  • Commitment to ethical fundraising, a passion for supporting nonprofit missions, and a positive, resilient mindset when working toward ambitious fundraising goals.
