Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist at Harbor Therapy Care, your daily responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting thorough evaluations of patients’ physical abilities, limitations, and needs, developing customized treatment plans that cater to individual therapeutic goals.
  • Implementing a diverse range of intervention strategies, including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, modalities, and functional training, to alleviate pain and restore movement.
  • Regularly documenting patient progress, modifying treatment plans based on evidence and patient response, while maintaining accurate medical records.
  • Providing education and guidance regarding the safe use and fitting of assistive devices such as orthotics and wheelchairs, as well as training caregivers and families on post-treatment care.
  • Engaging with a multidisciplinary team to deliver holistic care that addresses physical, emotional, and social aspects of recovery.
Patient Population / Client Focus

At Harbor Therapy Care, our patient demographic includes diverse individuals ranging from post-operative patients to those with chronic pain conditions. You will work closely with adults and seniors, employing specialized knowledge in age-related concerns and rehabilitation. Qualifications

To excel in this role, we require the following:

  • A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
  • A valid physical therapy license in Washington state.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interactions with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
  • A high level of adaptability and the capacity to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • An eagerness to stay current with rehabilitation techniques and continuous professional development.
Preferred Experience

While a minimum of 2 years of experience as a Physical Therapist is preferred, we value enthusiasm and commitment to learning, and new graduates are also encouraged to apply. Experience in outpatient rehabilitation, particularly in orthopedic or geriatric populations, will be considered an asset.
