JOB SPECIFIC CORE COMPETENCIES:

PHYSICAL/MENTAL DEMANDS:

  • 1/4 of work day walking to make copies within and to other departments in hospital
  • More than 3/4 of day comprises telephone communication with providers, patients and other customers
  • Standing, sitting, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching and crawling as needed more than 2/3 of day
  • Lift from floor to waist and shoulder equipment weighing up to 20 lbs. (examples: VAX, defibrillators, SCDs, reams of paper, CPMs)
  • Up to 1/4 of work day standing to perform filing, greet patients, and perform general office tasks
  • Up/down one flight of stairs as needed throughout hospital
  • Vision requirements include but are not limited to close vision, distant vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus. This may include ability to read thermometers, electronic scales, etc.
