Role Description The Field Service Technician is a full-time remote role responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing Hamilton Medical ventilation devices and related equipment at customer sites. Day-to-day tasks include performing scheduled preventive maintenance, troubleshooting technical issues, and resolving equipment malfunctions to minimize downtime in clinical settings. The role involves providing on-site and remote technical support, training end users on proper operation and basic maintenance, and documenting all service activities in accordance with company and regulatory standards. The Field Service Technician collaborates with internal teams to escalate complex issues, supports product upgrades, and ensures high levels of customer satisfaction through professional communication and timely service.

Qualifications

  • Technical skills in electromechanical systems, medical devices, or biomedical equipment, with the ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
  • Experience in field service, equipment installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting in healthcare or other regulated environments.
  • Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills to support clinical staff and technical stakeholders effectively.
  • Organizational and time-management abilities to plan service visits, manage travel schedules, and maintain accurate service documentation.
  • Comfort working independently in a remote setting, with flexibility to travel regularly to customer locations as required.
  • Familiarity with safety standards, quality procedures, and compliance requirements for medical or technical equipment.
  • Proficiency with basic computer applications (e.g., email, CRM or service management tools, and office productivity software).
  • Relevant technical education such as an associate degree, technical certification, or equivalent experience in electronics, biomedical engineering, or a related field.
  • Prior experience supporting ventilation equipment or other critical care devices is beneficial.
