Job description

Project Development & Finance Associate | Houston

We are currently working with a leading energy & infrastructure group seeking a Project Finance associate to join its Houston office.

The team is involved in many of the market's most significant energy and infrastructure transactions and advises sponsors, lenders, developers and investors across the full project lifecycle.

Associates can expect exposure to:

  • project development and acquisitions,
  • construction and operational financings,
  • renewable energy projects,
  • conventional power and energy assets,
  • digital infrastructure investments,
  • energy transition-related projects, and
  • complex cross-border financings.

This is an excellent opportunity for lawyers looking to develop a broad project finance skillset while working alongside highly regarded practitioners in one of the busiest energy markets globally.

The practice combines premium deal flow with lean staffing, allowing associates to take on meaningful responsibility and direct client interaction from an early stage.

The firm is open to relocation candidates and would be particularly interested in speaking with associates from project finance, leveraged finance, infrastructure, energy or broader finance backgrounds.

Ideal candidates will have:

  • 2–6 years' relevant experience,
  • strong drafting and transaction management skills,
  • training from a leading US or international law firm, and
  • an interest in developing a long-term practice within the energy and infrastructure sector.
