Job description

Search for the Director of the Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism

Department of Internal Medicine

The University of Oklahoma College of Medicine and OU Health

Oklahoma City, Oklahoma

The University of Oklahoma College of Medicine and OU Health seek an accomplished academic endocrinologist to serve as Director of the Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism. Reporting to the Chair of Internal Medicine, the Director will provide strategic, clinical, academic, and administrative leadership for a division poised for significant growth.

This search comes at a pivotal moment for the University of Oklahoma and OU Health. As Oklahoma's only comprehensive academic health system continues to expand its clinical, research, and educational missions, the Harold Hamm Diabetes Center (HHDC) is entering an exciting new chapter under the leadership of internationally recognized diabetes researcher John Kirwan, PhD. Together, these developments create a unique opportunity to advance endocrinology, diabetes, obesity, and metabolism programs across the state.

The Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism benefits from strong clinical demand, a respected fellowship program, dedicated faculty, and a close partnership with HHDC. The next Director will have the opportunity to expand clinical programs, develop multidisciplinary initiatives, recruit and mentor faculty, strengthen clinical and translational research, and improve access to endocrine care for patients across Oklahoma.

Candidates should be board-certified in endocrinology and eligible for appointment at the associate professor or professor level. The successful candidate will bring a record of leadership in academic medicine, clinical program development, faculty mentorship, scholarship, and education.

The University of Oklahoma College of Medicine has retained Isaacson, Miller to support this search. Inquiries, nominations, and applications should be directed to the firm at Director of the Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism | Isaacson, Miller
