We are seeking a highly motivated, self-starting Regional Sales Manager to be located in the Alberta, Canada area.

We are seeking an experienced and competent technical sales professional who likes to hunt for new business opportunities, travel and work closely with both customers, as well as a multitude of internal departments. •    You are an experienced, resourceful, and idea-generating sales professional.
•    You are someone with a customer first mindset with the initiative to develop relationships.
•    You are an engaging people person with the ability to interface and collaborate effectively with customers. 
•    You are organized with the ability to collect technical details and present the information back to your support team. 
•    You are confident and developed in your skillset and ready to take on challenges, with the willingness to learn about new technologies.
•    Comprehensive knowledge/understanding of energy and heavy-duty industrial automation sectors would be an asset.

WHAT YOU’LL DO
•    Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve growth and revenue objectives across western Canada.
•    Cultivate and maintain relationships with local business partners, key stakeholders and high-value accounts.
•    Prepare and conduct monthly/quarterly performance updates and reports.
•    Provide on-site product information and design/engineer assistance, as well as demonstrations and recommendations with regards to products by HEIDENHAIN.

REQUIREMENTS:
•    5+ years of relevant industry experience in technical sales, business development, or account management
•    Advanced problem solving and analytical skills, with a strong attention to detail.
•    Ability to work independently and manage a geographically diverse territory
•    Experience taking proactive action to resolve hurdles and align internal resources with meet customer needs.
•    Technical Degree preferred, but not required
•    Valid Driver’s license and willingness to travel extensively (40-60%) throughout Western Canada and occasionally international
