About the Company:
At Harrison Green, we create landscapes that enrich daily life, foster connection, and bring enduring beauty to the places people call home. Our work spans city rooftops, townhouses, country estates, hospitality environments, and boutique commercial projects, each approached with the same commitment to thoughtful design, meticulous execution, and long-term stewardship. Operating out of our custom-retrofitted, light-filled commercial studio in Brooklyn, we have built a growing enterprise that has spent over a decade transforming the city's skyline. By blending cutting-edge urban agricultural engineering with white-glove service, Harrison Green is setting the industry standard for modern landscape innovation. To bring this vision to life from concept to completion, our practice operates across three dedicated departments that collaborate closely to bring life to outdoor spaces:
- Design: Collaborating with homeowners, developers and architects to create bespoke, site-specific spatial concepts and high-end hardscapes.
- Installation: Navigating complex urban regulations and logistics to execute precision builds crafted to last.
- Maintenance: Delivering elite, long-term stewardship through our signature One Garden, One Gardener principle, transforming properties into sustainable, thriving environments.
As we continue to grow, we are seeking an exceptional Director of Maintenance to lead our Maintenance Department and help shape the future of the firm. Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer, the Director of Maintenance is an exceptional operations leader, a client relationship champion, knowledgeable about horticulture, and masterful at optimizing portfolios, field routes, and specialized gardening teams. Strategically design and optimize the routes and schedules of the maintenance portfolio. Develop and refine workflows, standards, templates, and quality-control procedures. Monitor project schedules and servicing milestones to ensure projects remain on track.
- Team Leadership & Development: Direct, mentor, and inspire our gardening staff and maintenance coordinators. Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, creativity, and professional growth. Establish clear performance standards, and development pathways for team members. Conduct regular coaching, feedback, and performance reviews.
- Business Development and Departmental Profitability: Oversee staffing and resource planning across the department. Ensure projects align with budgets, schedules, and client expectations. Lead Annual Contract Renewals and New Business Development for the Maintenance Department.
