Role Description The Fall Intern role at HAKing Innovation is an on-site internship based in Dallas, TX. Interns support STEM education programs by helping prepare learning materials, assisting with technology-based activities, and engaging with participants during workshops and events. Day-to-day tasks may include organizing equipment, setting up classrooms, documenting projects, and collaborating with staff to improve program delivery. Interns also contribute to outreach efforts, basic administrative support, and data collection related to program impact. This role offers practical experience in STEM education, nonprofit operations, and community engagement.

Qualifications

  • Interest in STEM education and a strong desire to support learners in building confidence with technology.
  • Basic familiarity with computers, common software tools, and a willingness to learn new technologies.
  • Clear, respectful communication skills and the ability to work effectively with youth, educators, and community partners.
  • Organizational skills, reliability, and attention to detail when preparing materials and supporting events.
  • Ability to work on-site in Dallas, TX, collaborate with a team, and follow program guidelines and safety procedures.
  • Current student or recent graduate in education, STEM fields, social sciences, or related disciplines is beneficial but not required.
  • Prior experience volunteering, tutoring, or working in educational or community settings is a plus.
