JOB SUMMARY:

The Village Dallas is growing, and our 32,000 sq. ft. Village Fitness Center is the heart of our vibrant community! We’re looking for an energetic, reliable, and customer-focused Front Desk Fitness Guru to join our team.

Position: Front Desk Fitness Guru
Location: The Village Fitness Center, Dallas, TX
Pay Rate: $13/hour

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
  • Assist in supervising instructors, programs, and activities of Village Fit during assigned scheduled hours.
  • Check in residents to ensure membership. Answer questions about classes, activities and amenities of Village Fit.Perform minor maintenance duties, including but not limited to periodically ensuring cleanliness of building.
  • Supervise large groups to ensure health/safety standards are met and to assure orderly integration of all VFIT activities.
  • May be required to carry, push, pull, drag and/or hold objects up to 50 pounds (furniture or equipment.)

REQUIRED EDUCATIONS, DEGREES, CERTIFICATIONS, AND/OR LICENSES:
  • High School Graduate.
  • Current CPR/First Aid certification or ability to acquire within the first 6 months of hire.

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
  • Must be a minimum of 18 years old.
  • Must have basic computer skills.
  • Knowledge of equipment used in various games, sports, and other recreational fitness activities preferred. Must be able to work evening and weekend hours.
  • Must have the ability to: deal courteously with other employees and residents in person and by telephone; develop and maintain effective public relations; make effective decisions quickly; work effectively and maintain good working relationships in a small team environment, without close supervision; perform routine office/clerical duties; and represent the Village Fit appropriately by presenting a professional image of recreation, health, and fitness.
