Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments through preliminary interviews to evaluate clients' mental, emotional, and behavioral health.
• Document detailed case histories from initial consultations through the end of the therapeutic process.
• Design and implement personalized intervention and recovery plans for a diverse client base, including individuals, couples, and families.
• Lead individual and group therapy sessions while employing various therapeutic techniques tailored to client needs.
• Regularly monitor and assess client progress to inform necessary adjustments to treatment plans.
• Collaborate with other mental health professionals, including doctors and social workers, to conduct integrated care approaches.
• Provide follow-up communication with psychiatrists and attending physicians about clients requiring hospitalization.
• Identify and address potential barriers to recovery, employing strategies to minimize those challenges.
• Support family members and primary caregivers in managing their loved ones' mental health challenges effectively.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, you will serve a varied demographic, including individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, relationship issues, trauma, and more. Your role will be instrumental in addressing the unique mental health needs of our clients, fostering resilience, and empowering them towards recovery. Our client-centered approach emphasizes active engagement and partnership in the therapeutic process, ensuring that client voices are heard and respected.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or higher in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• A current, valid license as an LMFT, LMHC, or LICSW in Washington State.
• Successful completion of relevant professional examinations, including the NCE and/or NCMHCE.
• Strong writing and verbal communication skills to effectively engage with clients and document treatment progress.
• Demonstrated ability to build rapport and trust with clients through empathetic and supportive interactions.

Preferred Experience

• Proven experience working in mental health counseling, specifically in outpatient settings.
• Familiarity with electronic health record systems such as AVATAR.
• Knowledge of mental health trends, best practices from the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA), and applicable mental healthcare regulations.
• Experience addressing a variety of underlying conditions, including co-occurring disorders and substance use challenges.

Compensation and Benefits

Guided Reflections Counseling Services offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 80,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience. We also provide a sign-on bonus to enhance the overall compensation package.
