Job description

Our busy home health agency is rapidly growing, and we’re seeking an experienced home health aide to assist us in providing superior in-home health care to clients. Our ideal candidate will have excellent organization and communication skills, and 1-3 years of experience working as an HHA or caregiver. You’ll assist our patients with companionship, basic medical care, light housekeeping duties, personal care, and hygiene tasks so that they are empowered to live happily at home. Compensation:

$18 - $21 hourly


Responsibilities:
  • Travel with patients to health care service providers, doctors’ offices, grocery stores, or for other errands, as needed
  • Supervise medications and assist patient in organizing, refilling, and taking medications, as well as meal planning and preparation
  • Help patients accomplish personal care tasks like scheduling appointments, calling doctors’ offices, and coordinating Medicare and other insurance details
  • Help patients complete exercise, and physical therapy and ambulate the patient as indicated in the care plan
  • Take care of light housekeeping tasks including but not limited to vacuuming, bed making, laundry, etc.
  • Administer Medications: Dispense medications as directed by the Registered Nurse (RN), maintaining an annual error rate of no more than one mistake.
  • Resident Response: Attend to resident call lights within 10 minutes to ensure responsive and attentive care.
  • Light Housekeeping: Perform regular light housekeeping in resident rooms at least once weekly to promote a clean and comfortable living space.
  • Service Charting: Accurately document all services provided without missing tasks, ensuring compliance with company standards.
  • Assistance with ADLs: Support residents in Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) according to each individual’s Client Service Plan, with a zero-tolerance policy for missed tasks.



Qualifications:
  • Compassionate, kind, and empathetic personality is essential, with superb organization and communications skills
  • Carry a valid state driver’s license, current auto insurance, and have reliable transportation
  • Pass a full employment background check, drug test, and physical, and possess current CPR certification and first aid training
  • Capable of lifting up to 100 lbs, you may also be required to stoop, bend, reach, and transfer patients up to 250 lbs as needed
  • Conclusion of home health aide training programs from community colleges are acceptable - Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) is a bonus
