Job description

Job Summary
Guardian Utilities is seeking a reliable and hardworking General Laborers to join our team. This role involves supporting daily field and shop operations through a variety of tasks in a utility construction environment. The ideal candidate is a hard worker with the ability to meet the physical demands of the job.  

Responsibilities 
  •  Perform manual labor tasks including hand digging and heavy lifting as needed
  •  Operate basic and powered hand tools safely and effectively
  •  Load, unload, and handle materials both on job sites and within the shop
  •  Flag traffic and maintain a safe work zone around active work areas
  •  Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including hard hats, safety glasses, high-visibility clothing, and work boots at all times
  •  Follow all company safety rules, policies, and established work procedures
  •  Maintain accurate inventory of parts and supplies used on job sites
  •  Perform additional duties as assigned to support team and project goals.

Qualifications
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the job, including lifting heavy objects, digging, and standing for long periods
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination
  • Ability to adhere to all safety rules and regulations
  • Knowledge of power tools and industrial machinery is preferred
  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
  • Additional certifications or apprenticeship experience is preferred but not necessary
  • Valid driver's license necessary. CDL preferred.
