Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough initial assessments and evaluations to determine clients’ mental health needs and treatment goals.
  • Develop individualized therapy plans that incorporate evidence-based practices tailored to each client's circumstances.
  • Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing a culturally competent approach to engage clients from diverse backgrounds.
  • Provide ongoing support and tools for clients, helping them develop coping strategies and achieve their therapeutic goals.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of client interactions, treatment progress, and outcomes in the electronic health record system.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare providers, including psychiatrists and primary care physicians, to ensure comprehensive, coordinated care.
  • Engage in continuous professional development through internal training sessions and external workshops, staying current with best practices in mental health.
Patient Population / Client Focus

The Licensed Mental Health Counselor will work with a diverse group of clients, facing a variety of mental health challenges such as depression, anxiety disorders, trauma, substance use issues, and eating disorders. Our approach emphasizes cultural competence and individualized care, ensuring that clients feel understood and supported throughout their therapeutic journey.

Qualifications
  • A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in the state of New York.
  • A minimum of four years of relevant clinical experience delivering mental health counseling services.
  • Demonstrated understanding of various mental health disorders and a proficiency in delivering evidence-based treatment approaches.
  • Strong crisis intervention skills, with the ability to handle complex situations with professionalism and poise.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to build rapport and trust with a diverse range of clients.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience with both individual and group counseling modalities, particularly in a remote or virtual setting.
  • Familiarity with EHR systems and digital tools that enhance therapy delivery and documentation processes.
  • A history of working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to support comprehensive patient care.
Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary range for this position is USD 70,000 to 100,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
