About This Role

Growing Places seeks an enthusiastic and dependable caregiver to join our team of educators, who are known for their positive work environment, generous benefits, and high-quality programming. This position is located at our Lee, NH location, where you'll have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of young children.


What You'll Do
  • Develop and implement educational curriculum through the creation of engaging classroom activities that align with developmentally appropriate practices and early learning standards.
  • Model and coach teaching team members to achieve success by demonstrating excellence in your own work.
  • Plan age-appropriate activities that foster social, cognitive, and emotional growth in children, while promoting a sense of community and teamwork.
  • Maintain open lines of communication with parents through regular discussions, progress reports, and parent-teacher conferences.
  • E nsure that all center policies and state regulations are met, upholding the highest standards of quality and integrity.
  • C reate a healthy and safe classroom environment, including maintaining high standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and safety.
  • Supervise teacher assistants and classroom volunteers to ensure they are following planned activities, safety, and hygiene protocols.
  • Accurately maintain records, forms, and files, ensuring that all necessary documentation is up-to-date and easily accessible.
  • Develop and maintain a personal professional development plan to ensure continuous quality improvement and growth as an educator.

Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 9 credits in ECE
  • CPR and First aid certified or willing to become certified
  • Must pass a background check
  • 1 year experience in a child care or public school setting

Nice To Haves
