Position Overview

We are excited to invite applications for the role of Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in our growing health counseling center. This full-time position offers an excellent opportunity for mental health professionals to provide impactful counseling services in an outpatient setting. The role is primarily remote, allowing for flexibility while maintaining a dedication to patient care.

Work Environment

Our remote work environment is designed to foster professional growth while promoting a healthy work-life balance. While most of the counseling occurs virtually, our outpatient office in Lowell, Massachusetts serves as a hub for team meetings, collaborative case management, and training sessions. Key Responsibilities

• Deliver personalized counseling sessions using a variety of mental health and psychological theories tailored to meet the unique needs of each client, including therapy for adults, couples, and families.
• Provide insightful psychoeducation to clients about mental health, emotional disorders, and effective behavioral strategies to enhance their understanding and management of their conditions.
• Engage in regular case discussions through staff meetings and case conferences to ensure comprehensive and collaborative treatment planning for each client.
• Effectively assess clients to identify and treat interpersonal relationship issues along with mental, emotional, and behavioral disorders, utilizing tailored interventions to manage symptoms of mental illness.
• Implement proactive follow-up measures to monitor client progress and offer out-of-session support as needed, fostering a robust therapeutic alliance.
• Develop and execute thorough transition, discharge, and aftercare plans to ensure clients continue to progress in their mental health journey after formal treatment ends.
• Maintain meticulous clinical records documenting all client interactions, assessments, and treatment plans as part of our commitment to quality care.
• Continuously evaluate treatment effectiveness and make relevant modifications to care plans based on comprehensive assessments and client feedback.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This position focuses on a diverse clientele, including adults and families who present with a wide range of emotional and behavioral challenges. Counselors will work with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, addiction, and other psychological disorders, employing tailored therapeutic approaches to meet their varying needs.

Qualifications

• A valid and unrestricted state license as a Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) is required.
• A bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution; however, a master’s degree or higher in a related field is strongly preferred.
• A minimum of three years of relevant clinical experience is essential, especially in working with adults and children facing emotional and behavioral difficulties.
• Strong organizational skills, proactive communication, adaptability to feedback, and effective time management are critical for success in this role.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience with teletherapy and the use of digital platforms for counseling will be advantageous.
• Familiarity with trauma-informed care practices and evidence-based treatment modalities.
• Background in providing clinical supervision or mentoring to less experienced counselors is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits

Compensation for this role ranges between $80,000 and $101,000 per year, based on experience and productivity.
