Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough initial mental health assessments and document case histories accurately from the first client interaction through successful treatment completion.
• Evaluate clients' mental, emotional, and behavioral well-being through structured interviews and standard assessment tools.
• Develop personalized treatment and intervention plans for a variety of clients, including individuals, couples, families, and groups.
• Facilitate engaging therapy sessions aimed at addressing clients' unique challenges, fostering skills for recovery, and supporting emotional growth.
• Continuously monitor and assess client progress against established treatment goals, making adjustments in collaboration with each client as necessary.
• Engage with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, primary care providers, and social workers, to coordinate client treatment and ensure holistic care.
• Manage client referrals effectively to community resources and additional healthcare providers, ensuring that clients receive comprehensive support.
• Educate and empower families and caregivers to handle mental health challenges, contributing to a more supportive environment for the client.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Grey Remedies, you will work with a diverse clientele, including individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance use disorders. We emphasize culturally competent care, ensuring that you are equipped to understand and navigate the unique backgrounds and experiences of each client.

Qualifications

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Active licensing as either a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Florida.
• Successful completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas simply and compassionately.
• Proficient with electronic health record systems, particularly AVATAR, to maintain accurate clinical documentation efficiently.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in clinical settings, particularly in community health or outpatient mental health practice.
• Familiarity with best practices as outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).
• Knowledge of pharmacology related to mental health medications and their effects.
• Previous experience in crisis intervention and conflict resolution techniques.
• Background in working with clients dealing with both physical and emotional health challenges, including addiction disorders.

Compensation and Benefits

The role offers a competitive annual salary ranging from $80,000 to $100,000, reflecting your experience and expertise, along with a sign-on bonus.
