Job description

Grey Parrot Systems is hiring an experienced Senior IT Project Manager with strong enterprise technology delivery experience to lead and manage complex IT programs for a key client engagement in the Bellevue / Bothell, WA area.

About Grey Parrot Systems

Grey Parrot Systems is a women-owned, BEP-certified IT services firm headquartered in Naperville, IL. We partner with mid-market enterprises to deliver AI-first, governance-driven digital transformation. Our team of seasoned CIO/CTO practitioners works side-by-side with clients across retail, logistics, manufacturing, and healthcare — and we're growing.

About the Role

This is a senior project management role for an IT leader who has delivered complex, multi-workstream enterprise technology programs on time, on budget, and at scope. You will own end-to-end project delivery — managing schedules, budgets, risks, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams across fast-moving IT initiatives. You bring strong Agile and waterfall delivery experience, excellent stakeholder communication skills, and the ability to navigate large, matrixed organizations with confidence and clarity. If you have 10+ years of IT project management experience and have delivered complex enterprise technology programs — we want to hear from you.

Must-Have Skills

  • 10+ years of IT Project Management experience — senior level
  • Proven ability to manage complex, multi-workstream enterprise technology programs end-to-end — scope, schedule, budget, risk, and stakeholder management
  • Strong Agile / Scrum delivery experience — sprint planning, backlog management, velocity tracking, and release management
  • Experience with waterfall and hybrid project delivery methodologies
  • Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps or Microsoft Project — project planning, work item tracking, and delivery reporting
  • Strong risk management skills — identifying, assessing, escalating, and mitigating project risks and issues proactively
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills — comfortable presenting project status, risks, and recommendations to C-suite and senior business leadership
  • Experience managing cross-functional delivery teams — business analysts, developers, QA engineers, architects, and infrastructure teams
  • Strong budget management experience — tracking actuals, forecasting, and managing project financials
  • Ability to work on-site in Bellevue / Bothell, WA

What You'll Do

  • Own and lead end-to-end delivery of complex IT programs — defining project scope, schedule, budget, resource plan, and governance framework
  • Manage multiple concurrent workstreams across business, technology, and vendor teams — keeping delivery aligned, prioritized, and on track
  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies and waterfall project governance — sprint planning, stand-ups, steering committee meetings, and executive status reviews
  • Proactively identify, assess, escalate, and mitigate project risks, issues, and dependencies — maintaining a clear risk register and resolution log
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, schedules, status reports, and executive dashboards using Azure DevOps and Microsoft Project
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders — managing expectations, communicating delivery status, and building trusted relationships across business and technology teams
  • Manage project budgets — tracking actuals, forecasting spend, and reporting financial status to senior leadership
  • Coordinate with vendors, system integrators, and third-party partners on deliverables, timelines, and contractual commitments
  • Support change management activities — communicating project impacts, managing scope changes, and ensuring business readiness for technology go-lives
  • Drive continuous improvement in project delivery practices — retrospectives, lessons learned, and process optimization
  • Mentor and guide junior project managers and delivery team members on PM best practices and governance standards

Tech Stack

Azure DevOps · Microsoft Project · Jira · Confluence · SharePoint · Microsoft 365 · Power BI · Agile / Scrum · Waterfall · Hybrid PM Methodologies · ServiceNow · Smartsheet

Nice to Have

  • Experience managing SAP, Oracle, or other large-scale ERP implementation programs
  • Experience managing OpenText, document management, or customer communications platform implementations
  • PMP, PMI-ACP, CSM, or SAFe certification
  • Experience with Azure cloud platform programs — Azure DevOps, Azure Data Factory, or Azure infrastructure projects
  • Familiarity with NERC / FERC regulatory compliance programs
  • Experience managing large-scale data migration or system integration programs

Details
