SUSTAINABILITY SPECIALIST | MIDTOWN, NY - HYBRID About the Company We are a dedicated architecture and design consultancy known for our commitment to design excellence and creative problem solving. Our collaborative team works across a diverse portfolio of institutional and commercial projects, integrating sustainable strategies from concept through occupancy. We bring a thoughtful, research-driven approach to every engagement, partnering closely with clients to deliver meaningful, high-performing built environments.

About the Role We are seeking a Sustainability Specialist to join our team and serve as a key advisor on green building strategies and certifications. In this role, you will guide project teams and clients through the full sustainability certification process - primarily LEED - from early design through post-occupancy. This is a hybrid position based in Midtown Manhattan.

Compensation $80,000 - $120,000 | Hybrid Schedule Responsibilities Manage and coordinate sustainable design strategies across multiple institutional and commercial building projects Work with clients and design teams to establish certification goals, analyze project scope, and identify sustainability opportunities Serve as LEED Administrator on registered projects - manage documentation, complete credit calculations, coordinate consultants, and track certification status Participate in and facilitate design team and client meetings to build consensus on sustainable solutions Provide technical guidance and design support to all team members throughout design and construction phases Conduct independent research on materials, systems, and approaches to improve project outcomes Develop specifications for bidding documents and review submittals for compliance with sustainable strategies Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Building Science, or a related sustainability field 3-5+ years of experience in sustainability consulting or green building certifications LEED Accreditation with specialty preferred Strong communication skills with the ability to work independently and collaborate across disciplines By applying for this job, you agree to receive calls, Al-generated calls, text messages, or emails from Synerfac Technical Staffing and our contracted partners.
