Keep a 197-unit community looking its best. GLR Companies is hiring a Porter/Housekeeper to support day-to-day grounds and common-area upkeep at Lakeland Commons, a market-rate apartment community in Euclid, Ohio.

About the Role

You will work alongside the maintenance team to keep Lakeland Commons, a 197-unit market-rate apartment community, clean, welcoming, and well-kept every day. You will be responsible for common areas, grounds, curb appeal, and light maintenance support, helping create a great first impression for residents and prospects alike. This is a hands-on role for someone who takes pride in a clean, orderly property and shows up ready to do the work.

What You'll Do

• Common Area Upkeep: Clean and maintain hallways, breezeways, laundry rooms, community rooms, offices, and other shared spaces on a daily schedule
• Grounds Maintenance: Pick up litter and debris across the property, maintain curb appeal, and keep parking lots, walkways, and entrances clean and presentable
• Trash & Recycling: Manage dumpster and trash corral areas, remove trash from common areas, and keep disposal sites clean and orderly
• Seasonal Work: Support snow removal, salting, leaf removal, and other seasonal grounds work as needed
• Move-Out/Turn Support: Assist with trash-outs, light cleaning, and debris removal to support unit turns and the make-ready process
• Inspection Support: Help keep common areas and grounds prepared for municipal, insurance, lender, and internal inspections
• Light Maintenance Assistance: Support the maintenance team with basic tasks such as light bulb replacement, minor repairs, and moving supplies or equipment as directed
• Safety: Follow safety and OSHA standards; report hazards, damage, or maintenance needs promptly

What You Bring

• Prior experience in janitorial, custodial, grounds, or porter work preferred; multifamily/apartment experience a plus
• Reliable, thorough, and detail-oriented work habits
• Ability to follow a daily/weekly cleaning and grounds schedule with minimal supervision
• Comfortable working outdoors in all seasons and conditions
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred

Physical Requirements

Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.; climb ladders and stairs; stand, walk, bend, kneel, and reach for extended periods; and work indoors and outdoors in all Northeast Ohio weather conditions, including snow removal in winter months.
