This full-time remote position invites you to engage with young adults as we work collaboratively to address and overcome their mental health challenges. With an anticipated annual salary ranging from USD 85,000 to 100,000, this role allows you to make a meaningful impact in the lives of those we serve.

About the Organization

Great Lake Behavioral Center is more than just a mental health treatment provider; we are a thriving community organization committed to empowering individuals and promoting healing through holistic, evidence-based practices. Our focus centers on a youthful demographic, fostering growth and recovery in a supportive environment. Our core values—Ridiculously Service Oriented, Integrity, Partnership, Courage, Passion, and Accessibility—drive our mission to provide unparalleled mental health care and inspire transformation within our clients and community.

Work Environment

As a Licensed Professional Counselor at Great Lake Behavioral Center, you will become a vital member of a remote team that operates with the energy of a fast-paced startup. We embrace innovation and dedicate ourselves to continuous improvement. Our working hours are Monday through Friday, ensuring a work-life balance free from evening and weekend shifts, making it easier for you to focus on your clients’ needs and your personal well-being.

Key Responsibilities

In your role as an LPC, you will be responsible for:

  • Facilitating engaging group therapy sessions designed to foster connection, dialogue, and shared learning experiences among our young adult clients.
  • Providing individual therapy sessions that are both empathetic and personalized, enabling clients to explore their emotions, thoughts, and behaviors while creating tailored coping strategies and action plans.
  • Developing individualized treatment plans in partnership with clients, ensuring responsiveness to their specific needs, goals, and preferences.
  • Monitoring and evaluating client progress through systematic assessment tools and feedback mechanisms, making necessary adjustments to treatment approaches.
  • Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of health professionals to coordinate care, share insights, and solve complex cases to achieve optimal client outcomes.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on young adults ages 18 to 30, who often grapple with a range of emotional and psychological challenges. Our outpatient treatment center utilizes various holistic and evidence-based methodologies, including Partial Hospitalization Programs (PHP), to equip these individuals with the tools they need for recovery and personal growth. Your role will be crucial in offering a safe and nurturing environment where clients can express themselves freely and courageously.

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must possess:

  • A Master’s Degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or Marriage and Family Therapy from an accredited institution.
  • A current and valid license to practice as a Licensed Professional Counselor in Texas.
  • A strong understanding of mental health theories and practices, particularly as they relate to young adults.
Preferred Experience

While all qualified applicants are encouraged to apply, experience in a clinical setting focused on young adult mental health, along with familiarity with evidence-based therapeutic techniques, will enhance your candidacy. Experience working with interdisciplinary teams or in community health environments is also advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits

Great Lake Behavioral Center offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 85,000 to 100,000. Additionally, we provide comprehensive benefits including health insurance, paid time off, and opportunities for continuing education. We believe in investing in our staff's growth and development—therefore, we offer free clinical supervision and support for obtaining Continuing Education Units (CEUs).
