Position Overview

Great Escape Psychotherapy Center is searching for a dedicated and licensed Mental Health Counselor to enhance our team. Work Environment

In our innovative remote work setting, mental health professionals have the flexibility to provide services from their own space while maintaining the highest standards of care. Utilizing modern technology and secure electronic medical record (EMR) systems, you will have access to essential tools that facilitate client engagement and record-keeping.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive client assessments to evaluate mental health conditions, gather personal history, and understand their unique needs.
• Develop tailored treatment plans that align with each client's specific mental health concerns, incorporating evidence-based practices for optimal outcomes.
• Provide one-on-one counseling sessions, employing various therapeutic modalities to assist clients in navigating their emotional challenges.
• Facilitate group therapy and family sessions to enhance support networks and promote collective healing.
• Continuously monitor and document client progress, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans based on observed outcomes.
• Collaborate with a network of mental health professionals, including psychiatrists and social workers, to deliver integrated mental health services.
• Engage in ongoing professional development, participating in training sessions and workshops to stay abreast of the latest advancements in mental health treatment.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our diverse client base includes individuals from various backgrounds who come to us with a wide range of mental health issues, including anxiety disorders, depression, trauma, and relationship challenges. As a counselor at Great Escape Psychotherapy Center, you will have the opportunity to work with both children and adults, providing support tailored to their unique needs and facilitating their journey towards emotional wellness.

Qualifications

• A Master's degree in mental health counseling or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Possession of a valid state license to practice as a mental health counselor.
• At least two years of professional experience in direct mental health counseling.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively connect with clients and colleagues.
• Strong capability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.
• Solid understanding of mental health treatment modalities and evidence-based therapies.
• Proficient in utilizing electronic medical record systems and telehealth platforms.

Preferred Experience

• Experience with diverse populations and cultural competence in addressing various social and economic factors affecting mental health.
• Familiarity with trauma-informed care principles and practices.
• Previous experience in community health settings is advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation for this position ranges from $85,000 to $95,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Additionally, we offer:
