- Perform field investigation, installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of PLCs, HMIs, SCADA systems, historians, and industrial networks.
- Onsite Commissioning: Lead system integration, commissioning, and startup activities, including Factory and Site Acceptance Testing (FAT/SAT).
- Advanced Troubleshooting: Perform complex diagnostics and resolve technical issues for industrial hardware and software, both onsite and remotely.
- Hardware Validation: Support and validate hardware installations by verifying panels, wiring, I/O, and device configurations against design documents and the Sequence of Operations (SOO).
- Design Assistance: Collaborate with engineers on system architecture, layout, design discovery, and the development of technical validation records.
- Project Execution: Independently manage assigned tasks within project scope, schedule, and budget, while identifying and documenting potential scope changes.
- Technical Documentation: Prepare and maintain precise technical drawings, configuration records, and system documentation.
- Efficiency amp; Standardization: Develop reusable templates, scripts, and standardized configurations to improve project delivery and technical processes.
- Leadership amp; Mentoring: Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior staff and lead knowledge-sharing initiatives across the team.
- Customer Engagement: Deliver specialized customer training on system operations and support sales teams with technical demos and project estimates.
- Associate’s degree in engineering technology OR related field with 6+ years of relevant experience, OR bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field with 3–5 years of relevant experience.
- Strong experience with industrial automation systems.
- Hands-on experience with PLC, HMI, SCADA, and industrial networking.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and resolve complex technical issues.
- Strong documentation, organization, and communication skills.
- Moderate travel may be required, including overnight travel. Reliable transportation to client sites is required.
- Experience supporting system integration and commissioning projects.
- Familiarity with multiple industrial software platforms.
- Prior experience mentoring or training technical staff.
