Position Overview
The Director of Nursing is responsible for the leadership, oversight, and regulatory compliance of nursing and nursing support services at Granite County Medical Center and the Drummond Clinic. This role ensures the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care aligned with clinical best practices and organizational standards.
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic and operational leadership for all nursing services across the organization
  • Ensure compliance with all state, federal, and regulatory requirements
  • Oversee staffing, scheduling, onboarding, and ongoing staff development and education
  • Promote and maintain high standards of clinical quality and patient safety
  • Ensure all nursing staff practice within scope and maintain current licensure and certifications
  • Collaborate with providers, staff, patients, families, and community stakeholders
  • Foster a positive, team-oriented culture built on accountability, respect, and continuous improvement
Qualifications & Skills
  • Strong leadership, supervisory, and management abilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to prioritize, adapt, and perform effectively under pressure
  • Experience caring for patients across the lifespan, including long-term care and emergency services
  • Self-motivated, creative, and solution-oriented mindset
  • Demonstrated organizational skills, assertiveness, patience, and professionalism
  • Commitment to compassionate, community-focused care
  • Montana RN License
